No, I Am Not Claire Martin
This blog came into existence as a joking response to the fact that Claire Martin was so much more successful at getting her name mentioned on Dave Barry's Blog than the rest of his fan boys (including me). These days this where I stick copies of the funny, silly, crazy things that I either come across, or which are sent to me because people know I appreciate that sort of thing.

Wow, you just brought back an ancient memory - When I was a teenager, our spiffy new shopping mall had a very simple version of this. Its big effect was to make it look like rain, from drops to torrent. It was so way cool.
Only problem was, it wasn't cleaned regularly and the fiber optic wires got disgustingly mildewed after a couple of years. It eventually smelled so rank, I avoided that end of the mall.
