This blog came into existence as a joking response to the fact that Claire Martin was so much more successful at getting her name mentioned on Dave Barry's Blog than the rest of his fan boys (including me). These days this where I stick copies of the funny, silly, crazy things that I either come across, or which are sent to me because people know I appreciate that sort of thing.
.... employers are encouraging their staff to limit themselves to just one drink at the Christmas Party.

strange but true... a similar tradition saved Europe from Mongol domination... Ogodei Khan (son of Genghis) was told by his doctors to only drink one cup of wine a day... he responded by making a very large cup (tho' styrofoam had not been invented). His premature death occurred when Mongol hordes were ready to devastate all of Europe,causing their leaders to return home to select a new Khan...
