Of national identity cards...

The Oz Government has had a couple of goes at implementing a national identity card, obstensibly in order to cut down on various types of welfare fraud and to smooth service delivery. One number does all. But it has met with a fair amount of resistance along privacy lines.

That's because, apart from the "Big Brother" aspects, we might also be at risk of something like this.

Gotta love enhanced service delivery.
