Funny auction

THIS is a link to a PDF of a funny auction that took place on the New Zealand equivalent of e-Bay. Be sure to scroll down to read the various questions and answers about what the guy was selling....

Update: If that link doesn't work for you, go HERE and then select "Misc Files" and then "Time Machine Auction". I don't know why Yahoo makes it so difficult to link to a file, but there you go.

Wysi my friend! I've missed you and just found this blog again.

Last week some gremlins messed around with my laptop (which I'd left at work) and suddenly all my games and some accessories (such as the volume control) have disappeared. I'm bereft. I've got to have Spider Solitaire back! i have the recovery disk and Windows XP that came with the laptop, but I'm afraid to use them.

And I won't ask the techweasels here for help. They're probably the ones who f'd it up in the first place.

Will you help?

Sassinfrassin Yahoo.

Sorry about that neo.

Go here then select "Misc Files" and "Time Machine Auction.

Hi Rita!

Bad news about the PC, and nice of you to think of me, but I'm even more scared of the recovery disk than you are - using it requires WAY more black magic than I can claim to have. And extra virgins to sacrifice of course, and they're getting increasingly hard to find these days.

In circumstances like this (and it happened just recently) I heave an enormous sigh and just reformat everything and start again.

Having said that, Lab of course probably has the most technical knowledge amongst us, and I hear he has a bit of a rep with assisting damsels in IT distress - perhaps he could be prevailed on?

In any event, all the best of luck with it...
