No, I Am Not Claire Martin
This blog came into existence as a joking response to the fact that Claire Martin was so much more successful at getting her name mentioned on Dave Barry's Blog than the rest of his fan boys (including me). These days this where I stick copies of the funny, silly, crazy things that I either come across, or which are sent to me because people know I appreciate that sort of thing.

wys, you are too funny. Your lab story was first-rate. Seriously, you need a literary agent. I'm not the only wys fan here. My daughter, son and hubby all look forward to your postings.
Ria went through a chewing phase, too. Paper was her favorite but certainly not her only choice of chewies (Mangle-ies, actually).
My hubby's parents live with us and they're extraordinarily clean and fussy people. Ria had a penchant for peeing and/or pooping at their feet (good dog!). This led to many suggestions that Ria be paper trained. So I allowed Ria to demonstrate what she did the split second she saw paper. The suggestions stopped.
Ria's greatest chewing/destroying accomplishments: most of our daughter Emily's text and library books and Hubby's $600 US (810 Austrailan dollars, as of this moment) Italian loafers. Bad dog.
