No, I Am Not Claire Martin
This blog came into existence as a joking response to the fact that Claire Martin was so much more successful at getting her name mentioned on Dave Barry's Blog than the rest of his fan boys (including me). These days this where I stick copies of the funny, silly, crazy things that I either come across, or which are sent to me because people know I appreciate that sort of thing.

wys, I shared this link with my next door neighbor, a retired commercial pilot. He thought these stories sounded true. He even stated that he probably made some of the comments. He is capable of it.
Now, my neighbor is a bit of a nut. He flew jumbo jets on weekends and spent the weeks as an attorney specializing in aircraft crashes. *eeep*
He also won the United Airlines Employee of the Year award in 1983 for wrestling a would-be Cuban hijacker to the cockpit floor. I hope the plane was on auto pilot.
Now, my neighbor claims to be 5'6'' (1.7 meters) but I think he's giving himself a few centimeters' credit. But anyone who knows him believes he could take down Mike Tyson.
Anyway, he says that airline pilots are a very fun bunch. I've been to his parties and I can confidently state that they do like to party.
