This is a fun game...

This blog came into existence as a joking response to the fact that Claire Martin was so much more successful at getting her name mentioned on Dave Barry's Blog than the rest of his fan boys (including me). These days this where I stick copies of the funny, silly, crazy things that I either come across, or which are sent to me because people know I appreciate that sort of thing.

For those of us who type 27 wpm, this game leaves much to be desired.
BTW, it took me two minutes to type the previous sentence.
Think I'm kidding? The following is me typing without correction:
For those of us who tuype 28 wpm, this agam leaves uch to be diesires.
Seriously, my hands are dyslexic.
I'm a sort of four-fingered typist, and can blat along at a fair rate, I suppose 60-70 words per minute. I was reasonably proud of getting to about 44,000 on the "easy" setting on my first (and only) go.
Ok, that was also with the assistance of my two kids who were calling out the words for me, because I need to look at my fingers somwhat to type accurately.
But it was VERY depressing to see the top daily scores of about 150,000, let alone the all-time winner who got 1.5 million or so.
I'm now waiting to see what my sister gets - she a professional typist at a legal firm and does about 130 words per minute.
I don't know whether you've every watched someone type at that speed, but you'd swear their fingers are about to fly off their hands with the g-forces.
My ex was a professional typist in a word processing bureau. The spooky bit was that my ex's fingers were sort of hard-wired to her eyeballs, because she could copy-type that fast while still holding a perfectly normal conversation about the weather, or anything else for that matter.
Spooky, and not a little disturbing to watch.
