No, I Am Not Claire Martin
This blog came into existence as a joking response to the fact that Claire Martin was so much more successful at getting her name mentioned on Dave Barry's Blog than the rest of his fan boys (including me). These days this where I stick copies of the funny, silly, crazy things that I either come across, or which are sent to me because people know I appreciate that sort of thing.

Is it really 95 degrees in Canberra? Your winters (summers? I'm still confused) are very short.
It certainly is that hot. We're finally into full summer temperatures now, and all the fans are out and running full bore at home.
We're also looking to have a bad bushfire season this year - strong winds and high temps over the last few days have fed about 60 bushfires burning out of control in New South Wales and Victoria.
